Operating Partner Principle Navigator is not driven by short-term investment goals, but, rather, by a studied effort to build long-term operational value with the management team. Navigator principals, through their significant operational experience, help guide overall strategy for growth and earnings enhancement, but, do not manage businesses on a day-to-day basis. In addition, Navigator seeks to strictly align its objectives with those of management and investors. Navigator will become, in essence, the portfolio company's partner in overall strategy development and implementation. Relationship Based Approach Navigator has extensive experience in working with closely-held (often family owned) businesses, and recognizes that there are many considerations which are often as important as the purchase price or valuation. Navigator strives to give owners a high degree of comfort and compatibility in order to assure high employee motivation and preservation of the entity as a responsible factor in the community. As often as possible, investments and acquisitions will be made through friendly, personal, direct negotiations rather than by way of the commonplace auction process. Rapid Response Capability Navigator's industry expertise and extensive analytical capabilities allow for a quick evaluation and closure of transactions. In addition to the Fund's capital, Navigator has strong strategic relationships with other private equity investors that enables the closing of larger transactions. Investment Proposals Inquiries from management teams, principals, and advisors are welcome. Navigator recognizes the valuable role of intermediaries in the origination and development of attractive investment opportunities. Confidentiality will be respected and Navigator will be responsible for customary fees for valuable investment banking and intermediary services leading to completed transactions. Navigator also co-invests with other investment groups and welcomes other investor groups into Navigator investment opportunities. Investment proposals should be introduced to the firm by contacting any of the principals. |
